First Wormhole Completely cleared

Well after two days of real living in my newly acquired Wormhole I have cleared out 16 combat sites 2 radar sites and 3 Ladar sites. I was hoping for more Radar and Mag sites but haven't found any yet in my space. Maybe they will be there late Sunday when I get back as I have stuff do over the weekend.

These past two days I netted 72 Input matrix's which sell for 8mil a pop and around 30 of the pieces that sell for 2-4m a pop, the name eludes me at this time. Over all this clear netted me around 900m for my efforts which paid for my new POS and supplies. I think I am going to pull the trigger and buy me a large tower so I can do some reactions while I am there since I have all this gas and nothing really to do with it. This would cost me just about what I made though so I think I'll hold off on it for a little while till I have a little more capital saved up.

My setup right now is using an Amarr Small Tower with a corp hanger and ship assembly array and very basic defenses that would just deter the random person for shooting at me. This is another reason I think going up to a Large for a semi-perma home would be a good idea. I do like the hole I have now though as I have only seen one other person in it so far and they didn't stay very long. If anyone wants to talk about wormholes or give me some advice on something I am doing wrong just drop me a line in game.

First day past the brink

Well my POS, in the Class 2 I found the other day, has been up for a night and it is still standing which is a good thing. Probably my biggest fear for some reason is people trying to lay siege to my base. Guess it is kind of a a don't touch my home kind of thing. But I have to admit the sites there are fun even though they are almost all Ladar sites but I can't complain.

For the first day as I have only spent a couple hours of real running of sites as I have been tweaking my strategies through out all of this but it is still nice. Tomorrow I plan on running the four Ladar sites I scanned down today as I did the Radar today. For the Radar I was a little disappointed as for drop wise I think I made more off of the combat sites. It probably would have done a little easier though if I didn't pop the trigger to early though. I am however still waiting to find a good strategy to use with my Dominix as those buggers love to kill drones. Sentries will be what I will try next, just need to get a shipment of multi-range ones so I can hit those ships who like to stay out in the distance. If anyone else has a better strategy let me know. Tomorrow I hope to have almost all the good stuff done so I can ship out stuff for the weekend. Just need a nice high-sec wormhole.

The Beginning of a Journey

Well this blog will be about my eve online experience, primarily with the new exploration content added in Apothecary. Before I took a break for real life stuff I was heavy into the exploration content of the game. Since I tend to play at random hours of the day I primarily play solo and like to consider myself a carebear with teeth as I tend to do everything in game. I guess I am just a jack of all trades when it comes down to it.

So now that I am back into the swing of things I have decided to move out into a wormhole and become a hermit as I will be separating myself from the mainland. I have spent some time thinking about the precise setups that I will need to run and what kind of tower setup to use. For this I decided to go with a good old Amarr control tower as they offer the best power grid of all of the ones out there. This allows me to have a decent weapons platform for the inevitable pokes against my tower. This should be an interesting experience as long as I don't go insane.
